FORT WORTH (October 6, 2017) – In the Sack, a pioneer in no-fee delivery, opened its second North Texas location in Sundance Square this week. The new location offers a fresh market, chef-crafted ready to eat meals, great wine, popular beers, and a liquor offering, all for take-out or delivery.

In the Sack Fort Worth will also offer cook-to-order options, a sizable farm to market segment, and a new catering menu. The store is located at 415 Throckmorton Street, with hours of operation Monday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. 

Christmas is right around the corner and Sundance Square continues to prepare for the holidays with the opening of The Christmas Shoppe, conveniently located at 408 Houston Street. Specializing in home décor for the holidays, including fall, Thanksgiving, & Christmas, The Christmas Shoppe can turn any home into a festive wonderland. The Christmas Shoppe’s extensive holiday décor includes wall art, tabletop accents, and other items for the mantle, staircase or to fill out those empty spaces in bookshelves, living spaces and kitchens. The store will be open Monday through Thursday, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sundays 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Sundance Square will kick off the holiday festivities with the arrival of the Sundance Square Christmas Tree on November 13th at 9:30 am.

The official tree lighting ceremony will take place on Saturday, November 18 with the festivities beginning at 5:30 pm. Designed with the community in mind, activities the day of the tree lighting will feature Santa Claus (11 am – 9:30 pm), live music from the Inspiration Band at 5:30 pm, as well as photo opportunities throughout the plaza.

New this year will be the opportunity for visitors to get in a virtual line while waiting to see Santa Claus. Upon arriving in Sundance Square, guests will simply check in at Santa’s Sleigh and then shop, eat, and relax until it’s time to meet Santa Claus.

Holiday visits with Santa will be available for only $20 each (cash only) with all the proceeds benefiting a scholarship fund established by the Fort Worth Sister Cities’ Youth Scholarships. Santa will be in Sundance Square beginning November 18 through December 22. Check for specific times.

Parking is always free in Sundance Square after 5 pm on weekdays. Before 5 pm, parking is free with purchase from a Sundance Square restaurant or retailer. Validation is good for 2.5 hours of dining or shopping, or four hours for weekday movies.  Weekends are free throughout the day and evening.

Guests also have the option to valet park for free throughout Sundance Square with purchase from a Sundance Square merchant. Just look for the red umbrellas in 10 locations within Sundance Square.
