Sundance Square Christmas Tree To Transform Into Habitat For Humanity Home – ESPN Begins Setup

SUNDANCE SQUARE CHRISTMAS TREE TO TRANSFORM INTO HABITAT FOR HUMANITY HOME
ESPN Begins Setup for Broadcasts Kicking Off January 5 in Sundance Square

Sundance Square will take down the Christmas Tree on Friday, January 2 and have it prepared to become part of a family’s future home. The lumber from the 58-foot blue spruce will be milled and incorporated into a Trinity Habitat for Humanity home in partnership with Sundance Square and XTO Energy. The Trinity Habitat home will begin construction in Sundance Square March 2 – 6 with more than 200 XTO Energy employees participating.

In the meantime, Sundance Square is preparing for ESPN to begin set up for coverage of the inaugural College Football Playoff National Championship. Beginning January 5, ESPN will provide a full week of coverage from Sundance Square culminating on Monday, January 12, the day of the national championship.

Rece Davis will serve as the lead studio host for all of ESPN’s College Football Playoff coverage from Ft. Worth’s Sundance Square and be joined by hosts Chris Cotter, John Saunders and Joe Tessitore. Analysts on hand include Todd Blackledge, Mack Brown, Lee Corso, Butch Davis, Joey Galloway, Brian Griese, Kirk Herbstreit, Lou Holtz, Desmond Howard, Danny Kanell, Mark May, Todd McShay, Jesse Palmer, David Pollack, Tim Tebow and George Whitfield with reporters Brett McMurphy, Sam Ponder, Tom Rinaldi and Gene Wojciechowski. Several current head football coaches will also join ESPN’s coverage throughout the week.
