FORT WORTH, Texas (October 4, 2013) – The Fort Worth office of Atlas Resource Partners, L.P. (NYSE:ARP), an oil and gas exploration and production company, has completed a lease for more than 24,000 square feet of space in The Westbrook, one of Sundance Square’s newest buildings opening in November.

Atlas will move into the entire third and fourth floors of the building with 13,874 square feet on the third floor and 10,777 square feet on the fourth floor. The Westbrook is located on the west side of the new plaza at 425 Houston Street.

“This represents the first of several announcements regarding commercial space in The Westbrook,” said Johnny Campbell, CEO and President of Sundance Square. “We have space remaining on the second, fifth, and six floors, but we anticipate that space will be committed in the very near future. The buildings are attracting a lot of attention because of the high visibility of the new plaza.”

Robert Gamblin, senior leasing representative and Bill Booker, Director of Leasing with Sundance Square and Mark Schumacher, Executive Vice President, of Atlas Resource Partners, L.P., negotiated the deal.

“We are very pleased to be a new tenant with Sundance Square in The Westbrook property, which will provide ample space for our growing operations at Atlas,” commented Mark Schumacher.

Sundance Square is nearing the end of construction on the new Sundance Square Plaza, which broke ground in May 2012. The project includes three new buildings, restaurants, shops, fountains, a stage, and seating throughout the plaza. The opening celebration is slated for November 1 – 3 with an array of festivities for the community.

The Westbrook is named after the historic seven-story Westbrook Hotel built in the early 1900s, which closed in 1969 and was demolished in 1978. It will stand six stories tall and encompass more than 81,000 square feet including 12,393 square feet of retail space. The ground floor of the building will include an office lobby on Houston Street and retail space fronting Houston, 3rd and 4th Streets, as well as the plaza space to the east. The façade will include a handsome mix of granite, limestone, brick, and decorative aluminum taking inspiration from several historic downtown buildings including the Blackstone Hotel and the Western Union Building.
